How To Prepare

HOW TO PREPARE

To best prepare for your new puppy's arrival, please see below requirements:

  • Book an initial veterinary examination within 7 days of receiving your puppy - keep all records of veterinary examinations

New Puppy Checklist

  • FOOD

    • Purchase the same puppy food (dry kibble) as the one your puppy is accustomed to consuming (ie. Royal Canin XS Kibble Dry Puppy Food).  This is important to avoid gastrointestinal upset while ensuring your puppy is fed the highest-quality, nutrient-dense kibble for its age

  • POTTY TRAINING

    • Alhough your puppy will arrive partially pee pad trained, it is your responsibility to equip yourself with the right training materials (ie. watch some how-to videos on YouTube; speak with a professional) to ensure a successful potty training transition.  You may wish to train your pup to eventually go outdoors so make sure you do prepare in advance.

  • HARNESS

    • As your puppy is still growing at a rapid rate, we cannot provide accurate body dimensions for the purposes of purchasing any items (ie. harness, collar, clothing, etc.)

  • BRUSH

    • High-quality brush to prevent mats, tangles, debris - also a great way to bond with your new pup!

  • CHEW TOYS

    • Inevitably, pups will enter a my-teeth-are-tickly stage so make sure to have some quality chew toys available to keep your pup entertained while soothing its gums (make sure they are appropriate and recommended for its age)
